As a result of the failed in-flight terrorist attack on December 25th, the TSA recently announced that there will be increased screening for "passengers on U.S. bound international flights". In addition, the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority has implemented a zero carry-on bag rule for passengers traveling to the U.S., and many international carriers have limited carry-on to one bag with more airlines expected to follow.
