This photo was taken by Ryan McGinnis of Lincoln, Nebraska last Thursday evening. You can clearly see the rotation and get a sense of the size of this thing. The tornadoes that actually touched down in town were reported to be about 50-100 yards wide. Great image!

Our area was hit by 4-6 tornadoes last Thursday evening. The largest was estimated at about 100 yards wide, and the storm was characterized as an F1 – F2 (winds up to 135mph.)
As the storm approached we began seeing some unusual cloud formations and the sky turned a peculiar bluish-green color:
