		<description>This is not a good buy. It&#039;s the old generation N280 chip with GMA 950 graphics. Intel rolled out a new integrated chipset (N450 powersaving Atom with GMA 3100 graphics) in December/January and the new units are selling for only $299 - and not refurbished either. And running Win7 Starter, which in many ways is much better than WinXP.

Just do some careful shopping at Amazon. Asus 1001p, Acer ao532h, HP Mini 210 are three good starting points.

Locally I am seeing netbooks with the discontinued chipset/operating system for more in the $259-$279 range - new.

For especially low hanging fruit, BestBuy has the $249 eMachines 250 - a rebadged Acer 250:
