I hate publishing a post before it’s completely ready, and against my better judgment, did just that this week with my review of the Red Oxx CPA Briefcase. I struggled with the pictures for this review: the “Bordeaux” color just didn’t look right – it looked cotton candy-ish / too bright – and I ended up tinkering with the pictures with photo editing software to try to compensate. It didn’t work.
I retook the main photos in the review and a couple of others, and added two new pictures. The post has now been updated.
There’s still a little variation in the colors, but they are at least much truer now. (I’d discovered that the white balance and color settings on my D80 were a bit off, by the way.)

On my screen, your updated pictures look more on the pinkish side of red, not the deep dark redish bordeaux shown on the Red Oxx site. Maybe it’s my computer, but since you have more then one bag to compare to the Red Oxx site, how does their website colouring compare to your bags?

The colors on the Red Oxx site are the closest; I’d defer to them.
My new pictures are closer (than my initial pics) in terms of hue, but they’re still a bit “bright.” I put the CPA on my desk, opened the Red Oxx site and the large image of the CPA in Bordeaux, and they’re pretty close.
Hope this helps… some colors are just plain tough to get perfect!
