Around this time each year I mention Black Friday Ads, the website geared toward snagging major retailers’ Black Friday ads days and in some cases, weeks before they appear.
Those BFAds folks are at it again, with this year’s Toys R Us and Harbor Freight ads appearing on the site yesterday. As you can see on the screen shot below (click for a close-up) you can even create an account at BFads.net so you can develop a Shopping List of the items you want to trample over other people to purchase on Black Friday.
In any event, the site is straightforward; as the BF people snag ads, they post them on the site so you can plan (if you’re so inclined) where to shop on Friday after Thanksgiving. Here’s a glimpse of the Toys R Us ad:

As I’m sure you know, some of the deals on BF are traffic-building-loss-leader-plain-crazy (Best Buy, Office Max, Wally World, many others); the site gives you a heads up so you can work yourself into a frenzy long before the official announcements show up in your local paper.
If you’re in the market for a $199 laptop and are willing to stand in a parking lot at midnight or 4AM, this may be just the thing you need to enact your very own economic stimulus package (not that there’s anything wrong with that!). Personally, I plan to be in a tryptophan-induced stupor at those times.
You can also subscribe to the site in order to receive email updates when ads are posted. The real reason I check out this site each year? It’s just plain entertaining. Check it out at BFads.net
