Free Downloads to hit 10K… soon

When I started offering files for download, I didn’t have any particular expectations.  I just did it, thinking it might be of help to a few readers.  All this started sometime last summer.  I noticed about a week ago that the number of downloads was approaching 10,000 – and I imagine we’ll hit that mark sometime this evening (Thursday, 10.8.09) or tomorrow.

This is likely a pointless, futile request, as I imagine many people hit the site, download a file, and vanish into the web (and that’s absolutely fine with me) – but if any of the downloads have been helpful to you, I’d love to hear about it.

Feedback, and insightful comments from readers, are frankly what the blog is all about, and they keep me motivated.  Thanks for being here, and for being (I hope!) part of the Practical Hacks community.
