Hopsack Blazer @ Magellan'sI just happened upon a crazy sale price at Magellan’s – their Hopsack travel blazer, normally $169, is on sale for a few pennies less than $30!  Here’s the description from the Magellan’s site:

Hopsack Blazer has more travel friendly features than ever before! There’s nothing better than a classic blazer for travel, but ours is a standout! Five interior pockets (including two zippered and one button-down) organize your wallet, passport, tickets and other valuables. Two-button style in a beautiful, lightweight polyester/wool blend with a Teflon coating for wrinkle and stain-resistance. The Action-Shoulder has stretch panels in the armhole area for ease of movement. Fully lined. Imported.

If you’re in the market for a versatile blazer for travel or other use, you most likely won’t beat this deal.  Comes in two colors – navy and wheat; has received 5 stars from every Magellan’s customer who’s rated it.

Check it out by clicking on the image here or this link:  Hopsack Blazer Sale – over 80% OFF @ Magellan’s This sale is for a limited time only (the Magellan’s site doesn’t indicate when it ends), so if you’re interested, jump on it now.

Note:   I am a Magellan’s affiliate.

10/4 Edit:  Navy is no longer available, and the available sizes for the “Wheat” jacket are dropping in number.

  2. I bought one of these last month. I am very impressed with the quality and comfort. It has a lot of pockets and carries items fairly well without bulges. It has resisted wrinkles quite well, I have not got it dirty so I don’t know how well the stain resistance is – maybe that means it’s great at handling stains. I was concerned about getting to hot wearing it but it was fine.

I have never been one for jackets while traveling but on a trip to Europe this summer I was forced to wear my suit on the flight since I had a bunch of documentation in my carry-on (pride would not allow me to check a larger bag). I found that the extra pockets in the suit jacket were very helpful, it was almost an extra carry-on. On return I started looking for a travel jacket and saw this one and could not pass because of the price. It is even better than my regular suit because it has more pockets, some with zippers and buttons for security and is wrinkle resistant. I plan on wearing this whenever I travel.

I have noticed the selection of sizes is getting limited.

    Dann,

Thanks for some excellent insights from an owner’s standpoint. You’re right about the sizes: they are dwindling, and navy is no longer an available color.
