…I think. (Crossing fingers.) I’m fairly certain the site is back to normal. It loads without any warning icons when using IE; with Firefox, you’ll continue to see an Attack Site warning until Google reconsiders how it indexes the site. I hope that will happen within a couple of days, although Google has warned it could take weeks. (YIKES!)
There appeared to be some malware code in the site’s footer. I wish I could report I went in with a scalpel and carefully removed the hacker’s code, but that wasn’t the case; I opted for more of a blunt object approach. I’ll spare you the details; it appears to have worked.
Special thanks to J.D. Roth of the terrific GetRichSlowly blog (see my blogroll; GRS has been listed there for a while) who was fully willing to help a blogger he’s never met or even corresponded with in the past. This is reason alone for you to subscribe to GRS!! Thanks, J.D.!
We’ll keep the posts light for a few days – until Google okays the site. If it takes longer, I may return to regular posts and just live with things as they are until Google releases its choke hold. (No harm; they are simply trying to protect readers and net surfers.)
Thanks for your patience and support!!
