CastTV: An even better way to search for videos

If you haven’t stumbled upon CastTV and have any interest in watching TV shows and videos on your computer, you should definitely check it out.

When you’re interested in TV shows, YouTube videos, news clips, viral videos or movies, CastTV provides a simple, user-friendly interface.   The site finds videos from all around the internet from sites including YouTube, iTunes, the major TV networks, hulu, CNN and ESPN and categorizes them in a neat and logical fashion.  One of the things I like most about it is you can find episodes for a lot of TV shows:

Unlike the search function at hulu, which I find about as user-friendly as peanut butter from the Peanut Corp. of America, you can easily navigate to a listing of every episode for many shows:

CastTV will tell you if the episodes are free or available for purchase or rent.  Each search result includes a source link; you can watch your videos on CastTV or on the source site.  A big cavaet:  because CastTV is simply a video search site, video quality can vary dramatically.  As you can see from the 30 Rock list of episodes above, recent episodes of TV shows are typically available from the network or perhaps through hulu; older episodes may be available from amazon, iTunes, or other sites.
