Last night Doug Dyment of One Bag commented on my quick review of the Patagonia MLC. Doug noted that the weight of the Red Oxx Air Boss has been arbitrarily boosted by the choices Red Oxx made in terms of the bag’s strap. He mentioned the Quake strap – which is essentially the same as that used on the Air Boss, minus the Mil-Spec hardware Red Oxx selected.
I had forgotten that Quake manufacturing is the maker of the TerraGrip strap – and by extension – the “Claw” strap used by Red Oxx.
Googling around a bit, I landed on the Accessories page over at Tom Bihn and was struck once again at how many useful items that single page features – including (of course) the Terragrip strap but also a key strap that could easily be incorporated into any bag.
