I hope all my U.S. readers had a great Thanksgiving and that you all had a safe weekend. This year Thanksgiving was just Pat and myself; we’ll see our sons in Saratoga at Christmas time. So it was just the two of us and a 23½ lb. turkey (have I ever mentioned that I LOVE turkey?)
We had roast turkey on Thursday, I made a lifetime supply of turkey soup on Friday, leftover turkey panini’s on Saturday, and yesterday I made homemade pizza. Ah… long weekends. Beautiful. We had a good time, although it was obvious that Mom was missing her boys. Well… Christmas is only a few weeks away at this point.
On to some interesting posts and articles I stumbled upon this past week:
Lifehacker posted about the free software they’re most thankful for – it’s quite a list!
Wise Bread featured a post this week on the 12 affordable ingredients that add a gourmet touch to any meal.
Michael Sliwinski of Nozbe launched “Productive!” Magazine this week; the cover story is an interview with David Allen, and the issue features a number of useful articles; it can be downloaded Free (registration required) – click here.
A few days ago Kelly from Massage Therapy Careers sent me a link for an article published on the site on Thanksgiving – 101 ways to improve your longevity and quality of life. I’m working on a similar post at present (albeit a bit shorter!) but thought I’d share this post with my readers anyway. Thanks, Kelly!
Finally, I came across a site called This One Next – type in the name of the most recent book, CD, or DVD you’ve read/listened to/watched, and the site will come up with several recommendations for you. Check it out by clicking here.
Thanks for visiting and have a great week!
