I don’t know about you, but I cringe every time I leave my toothbrush in my hotel’s bathroom.
Oh I try to keep it sanitary, propping it up in one of the glasses, but god only knows what it’s exposed to when I’m not in the room. Am I am unwittingly consuming window cleaner overspray? Does the housekeeper occasionally knock it on to (shudder) the floor? I have no idea.
I’m no big time germaphobe, but I do find myself running it beneath the hottest water the hotel’s system can generate before each use, just to be safe.
Then I discovered the OHSO Marko Pocket Toothbrush. This ingenious take on a traditional toothbrush enables you to store toothpaste (about half a travel size tube’s worth) in its base, which can then be dispensed to the bristles via a channel inside the brush portion.
This is a nifty solution for both travelers and anyone who wishes to brush their teeth after lunch at work but doesn’t want to lug around a separate brush and toothpaste.
The following video fully explains how this ingenious product works:
The OHSO comes with 2 brush heads and an adapter should your toothpaste tube not fit the OHSO’s threaded fitting. It DOES weigh more than a regular toothbrush (I would guess its weight at 2-3oz.,) but it also relieves you from the need to bring a separate tube of toothpaste. I have one and can attest that it works very well.
Available at amazon.com and directly from the manufacturer for about $20.
