Every morning, weekday or weekend, I follow the same routine…
Get up, throw some clothes on, wander out the the kitchen, pour a cup of coffee, and go into my study. Check – usually in this order – my personal email account, my work email, woot.com, AccuWeather, nyt.com, Marketwatch, G35driver.com, and at times, Harley Tech Talk to see if there are any interesting posts. Get another cup of coffee. Weekdays, I’ll go back to my work Outlook account and double check my calendar for the day and rethink how I want to approach the day. And now, no doubt part of my routine will be to glance at this blog and begin thinking about what I might post later in the day.
I suppose we are all creatures of habit to some degree, and I freely admit I love my morning routine. I get up early enough (the coffee starts brewing automatically at 5:30) so that I can have some quiet time to enjoy a few simple pleasures in the early morning quiet and start planning my day. It’s familiar and comfortable like an old jacket, and I miss it when I’m on the road.
